Welsh Language Category of the School

In 2022, Welsh Government published revised guidance defining school categories based on Welsh-medium provision. The guidance document is available on the Welsh Government’s website via the following link: School categories according to Welsh-medium provision | GOV.WALES.

Following discussion with the Local Authority and within our Governing Body, we feel that the category that most appropriately reflects the school’s provision is:

PRIMARY: Category 3: Welsh Medium

SECONDARY: Category 3P: Designated Welsh Medium
